Sora is a floating sculptural statement piece of simply epic proportions. Handmade using traditional Japanese origami construction techniques, Sora succeeds in exuding a serene, radiant aura.
When contrasted with Sora’s delicate, paper-like construction, the diffused effect of the linear LED light embedded within the luminaire’s construction creates an ethereal glow with an intangible quality. Designed by visionary design practitioners, Fung + Bedford, a UK-based duo working exclusively with the art of origami folding techniques, Sora is a formal continuation of the duo’s creative practice, which succeeds in seamlessly blending architecture and design.
